D. J. Hearn, Esq. late assistant cashier of the M. K. & T. Railroad will leave for St. Louis on Monday next to assume superintedency of the Gravois street railway of that city to which position he was recently elected.

Mr. P. E. Fairbanks, Late Auditor of the M. K. & T. Railroad has been promoted to comproller

L. B. Jackson, Esq., late cashier of the above road has been promoted to the postion of Assistant treasurer.

These promotions are said to be well merited while the friends of the gentlemen recognize in them railroad officials of much executive ability and future promise.

Last night, the 23rd, at the residence of the bride's father in this city, by Rev. Dr. Thrall, Mr. David J. Hearn to Miss Bettie Hughes.

Messrs. D. J. Hearn and Henry Hemphill under the firm name of D. J. Hearn & Co, have recently opened a livery, feed and sale stable on east Main street near the M. K. & T. Railroad. They have fifteen horses well calculated for the business, adapted to buggy or saddle. Although the epizoot, in its presence visitation, has not missed their stock - the majority of their horses have nearly or quite recovered and are now ready for use. With the already established popularity of Mr. Hearn coupled with that of his latest partner, Mr. Hemphill, they can scarcely fail to make thier business arrangement profitable for themselves and satisfactory to thier customers. Don't forget to give Dave and Henry a call.
