Our Direct Dillmann Ancestors from Weissach, Germany
The following are my Dillmann roots from Weissach, Wurttemberg, Germany, starting with Martin Dillmann. I can attest to all data from Gottfried Dillmann Sr on. The information I received about the Dillmann's prior to Gottfried Sr. has been obtained from Erich Dihlmann.
Mr. Dihlmann has researched the family quite extensively. However, although I trust his data, I must
point out that I have not verified it. So, if you see anything that pertains to you, don't take it as gospel until you verify it. That is my next step. Mr. Dihlmann has his own site which contains all the branches of this tree. If you have any Dillmanns from Wurttemberg, please pay his site a visit. We are both particularly interested in Friedrich Johann Dillmann who was born April 1, 1811 in Weissach, married Rosine Dorothea Essig who was from the USA. They immigrated to the USA in 1839 and no further information is known.
