Barb William, Henry, Elizabeth Johnston, Emily, Mary, Sarah, Jane/June, Lewis, Lectan/Electa Kings/Renssalaer
My known Johnson family begins in 1821 with the marriage of William JOHNSON to Maria LEGG in Harlem (now Brooklyn), NY.  In Nov. of that year, their first child is born there.  About 1835, the family (now with more children) moves to Meigs County, OH. until about 1844 when they move back to New York. In 1850, they are found in Renssalaer County.

Lewis
Lectan(?) or Electa(?)

The family is found in Rensselaer County in 1850 (except for Henry).  In
1970, Henry is married (and widowed) and living in Sutter County, CA. with his two children.  Living with him is Emily Rockefeller (and daughter) Eva, Sarah Pulver (and daughter) Clara, and Mary Johnson.  In 1980 Emily is the only one still living with Henry.

I believe Electa is the name of one of the siblings, perhaps the youngest.
She married Payson Meigs POMEROY of MA. in Rensselaer County, NY. in 1865.
(One of Henry's grandsons is named Arthur Pomeroy Johnson.)

I would certainly like to find out who the parents are of William JOHNSON and Maria LEGG.  I'd also like to connect with descendants of Henry's other siblings.

Bernie Gitty, Eve Kings

John Stoothoff B. 2/22/1783 D. before the Federal census of 1860.

Beverly Mary Pauline Kings
My grandmother, Mary Pauline Johnson, was born in Baltimore, MD, 1882. In 1902 she was living in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband, William Chapter, born Brooklyn, NY. I have them in the 1910 census. She died in 1919, so that's the only time I've found her.

Her parents were Edward B. Johnson, born Baltimore, and Eliza (Wells) Johnson, born Pennsylvania. (This is according to Mary Pauline's death certificate.) I do not know if she had brother's or sisters and would very much like to learn if she did.
William Sumner Kings, Oneida I am searching for information on William Sumner Johnson. William Sumner was born in Lunenburg, MA on 13 Aug 1806 and died in Bridgeport, CT in 1875. I know knowing of his parents or possible siblings. William Sumner was married on 17 Jun 1835 in I believe Brooklyn, NY to Ann Eliza Nichols (1813-1894) . According to an obituary of a son (George Huntington Nichols Johnson) of William Sumner, he came to Brooklyn from Oneida County, NY. Considering the dates I have noted above I have to assume that William Sumner could have been in Oneida County between 1806 to before 1835. Any information on William Sumner's likely parents and possible siblings would be appreciated. I have letters that William Sumner wrote to his wife in 1849 on his way to the 1849 California Gold Rush. I also have a photo of William Sumner.
