Stevenson. Also something about a newspaper clipping in Gertrude JOHNSON's bible. Gertrude was  a granddaughter of Israel Robert JOHNSON (nephew of Wlliam). Any body know of these people?
Kim Hannah Oneida, Madison, Onondaga
I have read in a few places that my ancestor Hannah JOHNSON (1746-1830), wife of Thomas Winthrop LEWIS (1747-1831), was related to the JOHNSON family
of Van Buren, Onondaga Co., NY.
I have seen no proof or reasoning for this statement.  Anybody have any suggestions or information?

Linda Mathew Noel, Jonathan Madison

Noel Johnson was b. 1765 in Coventry, RI, son of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Yates) Johnson. He married in 1787 in Pownal, VT, Mary Weaver, daughter of Rufus and Hannah Weaver. By 1800, he was living in Cazenovia, Madison County, NY, where he stayed at least until 1835, when he and his wife sold their farm in Cazenovia, plus 77 acres in the neighboring town of Nelson. Census records indicate he had several children. Who were they and where did they go? Johnson's named Weaver (or Webber), Elias, David, and John were living near him in Cazenovia as shown by the 1820 and 1830 census. Were they his sons?

Family of Bradley Johnson and Nancy Stanbrough

It appears that Bradley was born in either Vermont or New York, depending on the census information.  He states his parents were bronin England.  They lived much of their lives inPlainfield NY where Nancy grew up.  The also lived in Richfield, Otsego County, NY, Concord, Erie County, NY, Cheektowaga, Erie County, NY.   In the 1870 and 1880 census, they live in Buffalo, NY

Because of this site, I was able to locate the oldest son of Bradley and Nancy, Gardner Johnson.  Gardner served in the Civil War and lived in the same counties listed about and in Allegheny, Cattaraugus County, NY.  (Thanks to Ted Reisling who made the connection for me.)  Also, Gardner Stanbrough/Stanbro is Nancy Stanbro’s father.
