One of the most enjoyable social affairs that has been of late in Sardis, was a house picnic given Wednesday evening at the home of the Misses Lena and Clara Hess in honor of Ralph and Paul Goodwin, who leave shortly for their new home in California. Music and games were the chief diversions of the evening and the bountiful feast that has been prepared for refreshments could not have been surpassed, and to say that the Misses Hess were ideal hostesses would be putting it very mildly. All regret very much to lose the Goodwin boys, but the best wishes of all go with them to their new home.
