John Baker Fayette County
Land Record
This land seems
to have been purchased in 1780, surveyed in 1784, and accepted in 1786, but
people often purchased land many years before they actually moved
there.
The record is
for Fayette County but the map of the location looks very much like the Pond
Creek Road area of Campbell and the land description says "on the South side of
the North Fork of Licking Creek. That area may have been in Fayette in the
1780's since Campbell had not yet been formed.
