Nevada, passed away Friday morning, January 4, 2002, at Moore-Few Care
Center, Nevada following a lengthy illness. She was born October 28, 1919, in
Nevada, to James Otis Baker and Bertha Lucille Love Baker. She married Harry Rimmer on
November 21, 1936, in Lamar, Missouri, and he proceeded her in death on
May 5, 1984. Mrs. Rimmer was born and
raised in Nevada and spent virtually her entire life
here. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Victory Baptist
Church,
Nevada, the American Legion Auxiliary and D.A.V. Survivors include three
daughters, Barbara Belcher, Oswego, Kansas, Patty Epps, Warrensburg,
Missouri, Doris Fairall, Anaheim, California; two brothers,
Jack Baker and Jess Baker, both of Nevada, Missouri; two sisters, Margaret
Chadd, Milo, Missouri, and Marjorie Spencer, Nevada Missouri, nine
grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three
great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one
great-great-grandchild Cherish Belcher. Funeral services were held at 2:00
p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2002, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, Missouri,
with Rev. Jerry Pyle officiating. Interment followed in Newton Burial
Park.
