The number of persons to whom issues have been made during the month is...825

Number of rations issued...9,427

The great increase upon former months has been caused by the devestation and want which Price's Army made at the Trading Post and on The Osage and its tributaries. Many families who had never known want, were left penniless and without bread to cut or clothing to cover them.
