Special Order No. 87
 
The following named persons, citizens of Mo., having forfeited their rights of citizenship, by continued acts of disloyalty toward the U.S. Government by persistently encouraging, harboring and feeding bushwackers and guerrilla bands, and neglecting to report these out-laws to the authorities, are, with their families hereby ordered beyond the Federal lines by way of Gaine's Landing, Ark., not to return during the continuance of the rebellion, under the penalty of being treated as spies. They will be permitted to take with them such articles of house hold goods and wearing apparell, as may be required for their comfort.
 
The Commanding General, St. Louis District, will see that these persons with their fmilies are given unto the custody of the Provost Marshal General, Fort Smith, who is charged with the execution of this order, to wit:
