Fort Scott, Kansas
April 15th, 1862

Charges against:
Wyrick, Morris and Watterhouse, now confined in the Guard House at Fort Scott, by order Col. Chls. L. Doubleday, acting Brig. General.

To wit against Wyrick and Morris that on or about the 6th day of April, 1862, they without any authority whatever, from any United States officer, they then and there neither being officers of the United States, or soldiers of the United States, did take and lead away certain horses from citizens of Vernon County, Missouri to wit, one from Albert Badger, and one mare and colt from Mrs. Butler, one horse from Chas. Logan, and one from Washington Collins, and other unauthorized violations of law and order.

Charge against Watterhouse. Desertion from the 6th Regiment Kansas Volunteer Infantry.

Further charge against Wyrick and Morris, that in commiting the foraging acts they fired upon and caused to be fired open by those accompanying them, certain citizens of Vernon County and said citizens then and there  not being in arms against the Government, or in the commiting of any unlawful act.
