Roberts Family originally from Greenville, S.C.
This branch of the Roberts Family as far back as I have found was in Greenville, South Carolina before 1850, then migrated to Paulding county, Georgia 1850 and then to Jefferson county around Warrior Alabama about 1860 in the Cane Creek community. A few of these Family members turned up on the 1860 Montgomery county, Arkansas (Mountain Township) census before returning back to Jefferson county, Alabama with Hiram Roberts and some family members settling in Tuscaloosa county, Alabama at the town of Elrod.
I’m working
on this Family history page and this is just the beginning. I started out as far back as I have been able to get and will add more to this page as time
permits. I just wanted to add it to my website so that the information could
be of use for anyone doing research on this branch of the Roberts family.

Tidbits about Hiram Roberts
Hiram Roberts was on the church roll of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Greenville and transferred to the Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Greenville when it was formed. He is listed as the first church clerk and deacon and was the first licensed to preach there.

John James Lynn and Artenia moved to Walker County, Alabama in 1900.Artenia(Artie) Hassell-Seaver/Roberts is also buried at Little Vine cemetery.
