The Conrad Connections

My grandfather, Wilbur Conrad, was the family historian for over 30 years. Twenty years after he passed away, while living in Germany, I became interested and have been adding to his information ever since.Wilbur's grandparents, Andreas CONRAD and Fredericka HAEGELE, came to America in 1846 from Waldrems. Two of Fredericka's siblings also came: Anna Maria and Georg Michael.

I'm also researching my mother's people. The names JAHNKE, BADJE/BATJE, BUSCH and STELLING come from northern Germany: Alt Jabel, Brunsbuettel and Meldorf. My husband's lines are SHEFFLER/SCHOEFFEL, RAPP, STRAUB, and PAHLAU, PONTIUS, and WINOLD. Please check my SURNAMES.to see if there is a connection.

I am especially working on the descendant lines. Since my grandfather's information only included names and dates it has been quite a challenge to find everyone.
