I believe the years are correct but the month/date may be reversed.

Biography of Francis Marion Johnson lists dob Wm Perry as 6 Nov 1848.
William listed as 1 year old on 1850 census; 11 y/o on 1860 census.
Mary Jane listed as 3 years old on 1850 census
Eldest child, Kate Gist born 6 Nov 1868; she would have known whether
she was born on same date as her father or mother. Possible error by
stone cutter?

From State of Missouri, Lawrence County, In the Circuit Court, February
term, A.D. 1896. Oliver P. Johnson, Sr. Plaintiff, against William P.
Johnson, Defendant. Comes now the plaintiff, Oliver P. Johnson, Senior,
and says that on August 30, A.D., 1895, he was entitled to the following
described real estate situate in Lawrence County, Missouri, viz. - The
west half of the south west quarter of the northeast quarter; and the
south half of the north west quarter, all in section twenty seven: and
the southeast quarter of the north twenty nine of range twenty five;
containing two hundred and twenty acres, more or less, and afterward,
while the plaintiff was so entitled to the possession thereof, on
September 1, 1896, the defendant, William P. Johnson, entered into the
said premises and detains the possetion thereof from the plaintiff, to
his damage one hundered dollars: the rents and profits of the said
premises are of the monthly value of thirty dollars; Plaintiff asks
jusdment for the possessin of the said premises and for him damages and
rents and profits aforesaid, and for all proper relief. Signed Henry
Baumback, Attorney of Plaintiff. [written in long hand] State of
Missouri in the Lawrence County Circuit Court February Term 1896, Oliver
P. Johnson Sr. Plaintiff vs. William P. Johnson Defendant. Comes now
the defendant William P. Johnson and for his answer to plaintiffs
petition denies each and every allegation set fourth [crossed out]

Obituary: Lawrence Chieftain, Aug 1, 1912:
W. P. Johnson, aged sixty-three years, eight months and twenty-one
days passed away quietly, July 25, 1912, at the home of his daughter
Mrs. Kate Gist of Miller. He was raised in Lawrence Co. and was united
in marriage to Miss Mary Jane Webb {sic} in 1866. To this union were
born eight children four boys and four girls. Six of the children are
still living, two of the girls having crossed the great divide in years
gone by. All of the surviving children were present at the funeral
which was conducted by Rev. Philip Foust. The remains were laid to rest
in the Mesimer {sic} cemetery.

Johnson Mill, Mo. -- Mrs. Will Johnson died Thursday at her home near
Johnson's Mill. She was a daughter of I. J. West on Billy's Creek.
