Rosedurnate Residents

Colin Hendry was born in Parkes, N.S.W. in 1920 and suffered a stroke in 2002. He was not excited at the prospect of going to physiotherapy, to regain strength and use of his partly-paralysed right arm, and more to keep him amused than for any other reason, his wife encouraged him to start using a computer.

Col started doing computer jigsaws, and found that exercising his right hand and arm to use the computer mouse was very beneficial, and he regained strength in his arm. What a pleasant way to do physio!

He then moved on to playing snooker games and had a wonderful time with Snooker 147 and Poolster.

Col's Jigsaw program can be downloaded from:  JIGS@W

Jigs@w is not a free program, there is a very modest charge, and we voted it well worth the price considering you can make your own puzzles out of your own photos and one can also regulate the number of puzzle pieces.

Col has his family history information on a website, if you would like to check it out: THE COOPER, HENDRY, DELANEY & UPTON FAMILY.

Here is a photo of Col, in the Rosedurnate lounge room, enjoying computers with fellow resident Philip.
