We want to welcome you to our website.  This site is dedicated to the memory of our parents:  Lenora Elmira Sanders on my side, which is the Carter-Sanders family, and Elmer Edmond McClain and Lois Aliene Godwin on my wife’s side, which is the McClain family. The Carter-Sanders family found its modern day beginnings in a small town in Louisiana called Many in Sabine Parish.  From that point the Carter-Sanders family became what we know today.  The McClain family had its modern day roots starting in a small town in the Arkansas Ozarks called Red River in the county of Van Buren.  The family expanded greatly from that point.  This site is not intended to be the definitive site on these two families, but a work in progress.  Any information that you can provide or corrections that need to be made will be appreciated. We hope you find our site interesting and informative and that you will come back often.
