Wade Cemetery is located next to Casa Blanca Cemetery on County Road 303 East, between Sandia and Pernitas Point off FM-534.

When I first saw the cemetery, it was very overgrown, but on January 4, 2006, it had been cleaned up. I hope it stays that way, and God bless

the folks that did such a beautiful job!

The cemetery has 4 family plots: the Wade’s, Atkinson’s, Owens (only one marked interment) and Dodson’s. Other burial sites are outside these plot areas. Because of the size of the land, I wonder if there aren’t more folks buried there with missing headstones. I did locate one headstone quite aways from the main plot areas, and another in a thorny patch by the fence. If you have relatives buried there, and they aren’t on this list, please let me know. Thanks!

NOTE: Milton M. & Mary S. Dodson’s children, 1900 Nueces Co, Tx census: Archie, Ruth, Kate, Jula (Zula), Samuel Killmer, Edgar & Susan (Susanna). Ruth is listed as D/O Milton Dodson, 1930 San Patricio Co, TX census. Their brother’s name was Martin C. Dodson. Although not listed, Martin and Ruth may be buried in this cemetery as well.
