THOMAS X THOMAS:
New Castle, PA newspaper, August 01, 1934 (obit): .....Aged 79, 24 Smithfield Street, died at 9:10 this morning at his home, from illness caused by his advanced age.  Mr. Thomas was born at South Morristown, Wales, February 13, 1855, the son of Thomas and Adalene THOMAS.  He had been a resident of New Castle the past 36 years,  being employed at the tin mill. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and charter member of the Knights of Pythias at Baltimore, Maryland.  survivors are the following children.  Mrs. Catherine HEWIS, Matthew G. THOMAS, Isaac THOMAS, Mrs. Edith Pearce and Gerwyn E. THOMAS; seventeen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, all of this city.  The funeral arrangements have not been completed.
Thursday, Aug. 02, 1934-  Thomas THOMAS funeral-....will be held Friday, with a short service at the home at 2:30 and at the First Congregational Church, East Reynolds Street, at 3 P.M.  Internment will be made in the Oak Park Cemetery.  In addition to the relatives in the Wednesday News, Mr. THOMAS is survived also by another brother, John THOMAS, of this city.

New Castle News,  May 14, 1909-Obituary (Lawrence County,  New Castle, PA.)

Mrs. Ann THOMAS, wife of Thomas THOMAS, passed away at her home at 131 Mahoning avenue, Friday morning.  She had been ill for some time past, suffering from dropsy, and death came at 9 o'clock this morning.  The news of her demise brings sincere sorrow to many friends, as she was widely and favorably known.
Mrs. THOMAS was 49 years, 3 months and 25 days of age.  She was born in Wales, but had been in this country for the past 21 years.  She was a member of the Welsh Baptist Church, and a faithful worker.
Surviving her are her husband, three sons, M. G. of this city, Isaac J. and Gerwyn H., both at home, and two daughters, Mrs. R. A. KOSTAL, of this city, and Miss Edith, at home.  Four brothers reside in Wales, and a sister Mrs. William REESE, lives in Indiana.
The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence, and the internment will be at Oak Park Cemetery.
Mrs. THOMAS Buried ~ Many friends and relatives gathered Monday afternoon at the residence of Thomas THOMAS in Mahoning Avenue, for the last sad rites over the remains of his wife, Mrs. Ann THOMAS whose death occurred Friday morning.  The home was filled with friends and relatives, many of whom sent beautiful flowers to cover the bier.  Rev. Ernest Canby of the Simpson M.E. Church, conducted the services, and the music was rendered by the church choir.  The internment was made at Oak Park cemetery, and the pallbearers were relatives of the family.
