TOWN ACTS.

  4th.Voted, to Allow Daniel Adams it Liberty of one quarter of an acre of Land out of ye Highway by his House for Conveniency of Building, & to have it in Exchang for Land on a good Right.  Capt Winchel to measure ye Land to se that it be Laid in a Regular form at ye charge of ye sd Daniel Adams.
  5th. Voted, to Allow Fearnot Burlison fifty shillings for work about ye Galleries over and above what he hath already Received, being Six pounds.
  6th. At the motion of Jacob Adams senr, Voted, that Capt Joseph Winchel, Joseph King and Joseph Harmon be a Committee to Repair to a Highway and Land that Adams Shall show them and at his charge, and to make Report to ye Town the next Meeting what they think proper to be acted thereon.
  7th. Whereas, there was a Highway Laid out through Land* of Joseph Pumrys, sd Pumry having fenced up sd Highway, and Left a Highway South of his House and the Sawmil on Muddy Brook, and proposing to ye Town, ye Town to Except of ye sd Exchange, the town by their vote excepted of a Exchange.
  8th. Voted, that Nathanll Austin be Collecter of ye Highway Rate in ye Room of Samll Kent ye 3d.
  9th. Voted, to Allow John Pengilley Junr untill ye Last of June next to Compleet ye Collecting of ye Highway Rate.
  10th. Voted, to Improve Asaph Leavitt to mend the Breaches in ye Clabboard part of the meeting House, and to Allow said Leavitt six shillings pr Day for his service.
  11th. Voted, to pay Timothy Phelps for mending the meeting House Glace, and for keeping it in Repair.
  12th. Voted, to allow James Rising Six Shillings pr Hundred for what Clabboards ye sd Asaph Leavitt shall give the Select men account of that there is of ye Clabbord that sd Rising brought for ye, meeting House.

  Att a Legal meeting of ye Inhabitants of ye Town of Suffield on Munday the 15th Day of May, 1732, Joseph Remington was chosen Moderatour to manage and order ye sd meeting, and then voted;
  1st. Voted, to Repair the School House so as to make it fit for the use of the School.
  2dly. Ensign Anthony Austin was chosen to take ye Care to se the School House Repaired as afore sd.
  3dly. Voted, to Leave it with the Select men to provide the Town with a School Master for this present year.
  4ly, Voted, there be money Raised (at ye ordinary Rating Time) for Defraying ye charge of a School master.
  5th. Voted, that in case ¥ John Thatcher Do Return to Reside again in this Town, to be at ye charge of ye Select mens procuring a warrant and sending him away, as ye Law Directs.
