Email Us | Descendants of Thomas WhiteI have been able to find out very little about the paternal family of my husband's grandmother, Audrey (White) Haden. Audrey's grandfather was Andrew White who came from St. Francois County, Missouri, to Fannin County, Texas with his first wife's family, the Sebastians, in the late 1840's. There is considerable circumstantial evidence that Andrew was the son of Thomas & Martha White of Hardin County, Tennessee, and probably he and at least one of his brothers left Tennessee as young men and moved to Missouri.Some of the Information handed down in the family regarding Andrew's second wife has been found to be in error and was confused with the data regarding the first wife - this made unraveling their story a bit more difficult. However, it is a good example of the fact that family history, even written by those who were living at the time, is not always correct.
