MASON, Robert George "Bob" - Shad Bay, passed away Monday, November 27, 2000, in the
VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Gerald and Ellen (Ryan) Mason. He was employed with CBC Halifax, for 37 years, as a technician, retiring in 1991. He was a former member of the R.C.A.F. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Patricia Ann Graves; daughters, Janice Lalancette (Jean), Prospect Bay; Kathleen Nelson (Brent), Sackville; Lynda Garand, Prospect Bay; sons, Peter, Prospect; Kevin (Joyce), Oakville, Ont.; Matthew (Asiah), Pittsburgh, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; sister, Helen Buckland, Mississauga, Ont.; brothers, Gerald, Pleasantville, Lunenburg Co.; Kenneth, Oregon; Donald, Medicine Hat, Alta.; Edward, Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.; John and William, Halifax. He was predeceased by son, Steven; grandson, Sam Lalancette; brother, Bernard. Family viewing only, no visitations by request. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m Wednesday, November 29, in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic church, Shad Bay, Rev. Leonard Fischer officiating. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Shad Bay.
