The above pictures show a type of tree, not found anywhere
in the St Margarets Bay area. They were bought here as seedlings from New
Brunswick, by merchant Mr Hubley Sr. in his vessels, and used
as a border around this small cemetery, they have since spread out to the
surrounding area.

Mrs Eliza A. Hubley Mrs E. Ann Hubley, widow of Peter Hubley of Halifax, died this morning at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs E. J. Lampier, 144 South Kline St, at the age of 90 years. Born in Chezzetcook, her maiden name, being Conrad. Mrs Hubley has lived in this city since her marriage. She has been a resident with her granddaughter Mrs Lampier for the past 8 years. She is survived by one son and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place from Cruickshanks Funeral Home, Sunday. Interment will be in Seabright Cemetery.
