Michael Paul DOPP, Sr. May 23, 1958 - January 17, 2002 Toledo Blade Friday, January 18, 2002; Section B pg. 1 Fulton County man killed in snowmobile accident A local man died Wednesday after he was thrown off his snowmobile. Michael Paul Dopp, Sr., 43, was driving the snowmobile on his property about 11:30 a.m. when he ran into a trailer parked behind his barn, the Fulton County sheriff's department said. The force of the impact threw him off the machine. Mr. Dopp was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where he was pronounced dead. There was likely less than an inch of snow on the ground at the time of the incident, sheriff's deputies said. =============== Michael Paul Dopp, Sr. Michael P. Dopp, 43, of Lyons, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, January 17, 2002, in Toledo. He was a self-employed farmer and also enjoyed working on auto body restoration. Mr. Dopp was born in Wauseon on May 23, 1958, to Paul and Margaret [Warncke] Dopp. On July 15, 1978, he married Peggy Mull and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle Dopp of Dayton, Molly Dopp at home; one son, Michael Dopp, Jr. at home; two brothers, Steve Dopp of Napoleon, Kevin Dopp of Lyons; his parents, Paul and Margaret Dopp of Kosciusko, MS, and in-laws, Richard and Mary Ann Mull of Wauseon. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wauseon, with the Rev. Scott Silcox officiating. Friends may call at the Edgar Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon, on Saturday from 1-9 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association or the Morenci, Michigan Fire and Rescue.
