Ambrosia G. Serna December 7, 1904 - April 11, 2002 Ambrosia G. Serna, 97, of Lyons, OH, went to her heavenly home on April 11, 2002. Ambrosia was born on December 7, 1904, in Brownsville, TX. She was the wife of Moises M. Serna who preceded her in death in 1992, and with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Forty-three years were spent on a farm near Lyons, OH. She resided at the Fulton Manor in Wauseon, OH, for the last several years, due to ill health. Ambrosia loved to sew and crochet but her biggest love was gardening and her family. She could make anything grow with her "Green Thumb". Her oldest son Domingo Serna, from Toledo, also preceded her in death. Survivors include a sister Sara Alvarado of Crystal City, TX; daughters of Otila Ramon of Wauseon, OH and Obdulia (Victor) Rice of South Vienna, OH; sons, A. Bill (Janice) Serna of Lyons, OH, Robert Serna (Sally Harms) of Maumee OH, Moises Jr. (Karen) of Lyons, OH, and David (Debera) Serna of Delta, OH; and Mary Serna daughter-in-law and spouse of Domingo Serna of Toledo, OH. Also a great number of nieces, nephews grandchildren and great grandchildren, up to five generations. Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd.), Toledo, OH. The Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7 p.m. with Father John C. Shiffler presiding. Family and friends may also call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, St. Rt. 20, Lyons, OH followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Drs. Kamp and McClarren as well as the staff at Fulton Manor and Fulton County Health Center for their loving care and concern shown during her stay, and a special thank you to Father John C. Shiffler.
