OBITUARY:
JAMES C. BALLARD
September 2, 2002

     James C. Ballard, age 79, of Waterville and formerly of Lyons, OH, passed away September 2, 2002, at MCO Hospital. James was a truck driver for Rogers Cartage for over 20 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Wallacton Baptist Church in Kentucky. James was the son of Edward and Ada (Sparks) Ballard.

     Surviving are his wife, Jessie; daughter, Barbara Haley of Swanton; son, James Dean (Bettye) Ballard of Puyallup, WA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Dorsie Miller of Lyons, Mary Ruth Speaks of Lexington, KY, Opal Lay of Lancaster, KY, Edward Ballard Jr., Glendon Ballard and Bobby Ballard, all of Paint Lick, KY. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas.

     A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2002 at Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, OH, at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Mike Tipton officiating. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the donor's choice of charity.
