CASLER Robert F. December 15, 2002 Robert F. Casler, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2002, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility. Robert was born on July 30, 1919, in Delta, OH, to Roy F. and Viola (Allen) Casler. On April 9, 1938, he married Ruth E. Green in Seward, OH. He served our country during WWII in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for General Electric for 2 years and then with Hartco in Cincinnati, OH. He was a member of the Lyons Christian Church in Lyons, OH, Odd Fellows and also a Mason. Besides his family, some of Robert's favorite things included golf, baseball, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 64 and a half years, Ruth; one son, Chester LeRoy Casler and his wife, Suzanne Perry of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Anita Louise Jarboe and her husband, Martin of Adrian; six grandchildren, Dawn Casperson and her husband, Daryl, Rhonda Fortney and her husband, Jim, Robert "Bobby" Casler and his wife, Trudy, Chris Casler, Lori Shaw and her husband, Greg, Alan Sargent and his wife, Kami; eight step grandchildren, Dennis Perry, Michael Jarboe, David Jarboe and his wife, Linda, Mark Jarboe, John Jarboe, Jeff Jarboe and his wife, Doree, Tracey Johnston, Pam Welter and her husband, Steve, twelve great-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, four step great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Casler of Oakshade, OH, Dorothy Gillen of Metamora, OH, numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Casler; sister, Florence Casler; brother-in-laws, Maynard Gillen, Gordon Green, and Lyle Green. Funeral services for Robert will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2002, at the Braun Everiss Wagley Funeral Home, with Rev. Brent Pomeroy officiating. Burial will follow the service at Ridgeville Cemetery with Military Rites preformed by the VFW Annis Fint Post #1584 of Adrian. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions in Robert's name are suggested to the Parkinson Foundation or to the Lyons Christian Church Building Fund. Ruth E. (Green) Casler ADRIAN, MICHIGAN: Ruth E. (Green) Casler, age 85, of Adrian went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2004. She was born April 15, 1919, in Jasper, Mich., the daughter of Chester A. and Faye L. (Seward) Green. On April 9, 1938, she married Robert F. Casler in Seward, Ohio. Ruth was a member of Lyons Christian Church. Ruth loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening and playing cards. Surviving Ruth are her children, Chester (Suzanne) Leroy Casler of Tampa, Fla., Anita (Martin) Louise Jarboe of Adrian; brother, Seward (Eva Belle) Green of Metamora, Ohio; six grandchildren, Dawn (Darryl) Casperson, Rhonda (Jim) Fortney, Robert (Trudi) Casler, Christopher Casler, Lori (Gregory) Shaw, Alan (Kami) Sargent; eight stepgrandchildren, Denis (Kathy) Perry, Michael (Dixie) Jarboe, David (Linda) Jarboe, Mark Jarboe, John Jarboe, Jeff (Doree) Jarboe, Tracey Johnston, Pam (Steve) Welter; 12 great-grandchildren, 17 stepgreat-grandchildren and six stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister-in-law. A celebration of life for Ruth will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Braun Everiss Wagley Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Pomeroy officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeville Cemetery in Fairfield Township. Visitation will be on Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Ruth may be made to American Cancer Society, Lyons Christian Church (Building Fund) or Hospice of Lenawee.
