David Lee Peebles June 15, 2013  Lyons:  David Lee Peebles of Lyons, Ohio passed away on June 15 at the age of 59 from complications related to lung cancer. Dave was born October 29, 1953. He is survived by his loving wife, Lise, whom he correctly believed to be the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen, his youngest son, Cory, who received his easy going charisma, and his eldest son, Joshua, who inherited his rugged good looks. He also felt very blessed to have the love and support of his wonderful mother, Helen Peebles, his adoring sister, Penny (Jeff) Waack, three beautiful nieces (Kendra, Hayley, and Whitney), and their families. He loved all of his family very much and was immensely proud of both of his sons. He is preceded in his passing by his incredible father, Harold (Hap) Peebles. David graduated from Evergreen in 1972 via Four County Career Center, where he was honored as a Wall of Fame recipient in 2005 for his artistic accomplishments. He was a highly respected and incredibly talented woodworker and had many great friends from that creative community. Over the course of his life, David played drums like a hurricane, raced muscle cars, dabbled in pottery, rode a Harley, cleaned chimneys, and worked construction. He loved The Who, the Detroit Tigers, animals (especially his cat Trixie), the Ohio State Buckeyes, and brainstorming new inventions. Dave was a life time member of The Lyons Historical Society. A memorial service will be held at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home (219 S. Fulton Street) in Wauseon, Ohio at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 22 with visitors being received from 11 a.m. Up until the time of service. The memorial will be directly followed by an internment at the Lyons Cemetery and a community meal at Lyon Christian Church Friendship Hall at 3 p.m. The family is thankful to receive any memorial contributions to help defray the costs of the funeral.
