SHAW, Glenn R. October 14, 2004 SHAW, GLENN R. (Chub), age 79, of Hoover, AL, died October 14, 2004. Mr. Shaw was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He was past potentate and member of Zomora Shrine Temple. He retired in 1987 from UAB as Director of Maintenance and Building Alterations. He also owned Shaw Enterprises after retirement. He was a native of Lyons, Ohio moved to Birmingham in 1965. Mr. Shaw was a veteran of WWII where he served as a army Paratrooper. He also served in the Merchant Marines. Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his parents, Cloid Shaw and Prudence K. Shaw; sister, Eleanor Morel; brother, Don Shaw. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Ann L. Shaw; daughter, Paula (Dave) Alexander; grandchildren, Austin Alexander, Lauren Alexander; brothers, Wayne (Red) Shaw (Geneva) & Max (Mick) (Carol) Shaw; sisters, Erva Jean (Russell), LeGall Dorothy (Jack) Hartsell. He was a loving Father to many of his other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, with burial in Southern Heritage Cemetery.
