SHIREY, Ryan June 18, 2005  Toledo Blade, June 22, 2005 Ryan "Gump" Shirey, age 16, of Anderson, Indiana, died June 18, 2005, after a long battle with heart problems. He was born on July 13, 1988, in Toledo. Ryan was a student at Anderson High School and was employed at Wendy's. He is survived by his parents, James E. and Dawn R. (Hartsell) Shirey, Jr.; siblings, Jamie, Tara, and Brent Shirey; paternal grandparents, James E. and Nancy V. Shirey, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Jack and Dorothy Hartsell; paternal great-grandparents, James and Mary Belcher; several aunts, uncles, cousins, 1 niece and 1 nephew. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Toledo Baptist Temple, 5732 Douglas Rd., with Dr. Billy V. Bartlett officiating. Visitation will be at the church 1 hour prior to services. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop #249, Anderson, Indiana.
