OBITUARY:
GLECKLER, Clarence "Buck"




     Clarence L. “Buck” Gleckler, age 81, passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, March 19, 2008 at Whitehouse Country Manor. He was born May 18, 1926 in Lyons, Ohio to Harvey and Thelma (Rowland) Gleckler. Buck was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. On March 25, 1967, he married Janett Brueshaber.

     Buck was plant superintendent of Swanton Cable and Wire and was owner/operator of Buc-Ray Corporation in Holland until his retirement. Buck was a member of Swanton American Legion Post #479 and Providence Lutheran Church in Holland.

     Buck is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janett; children, Robin Spaulding of Swanton, OH, Jim (Connie) Gleckler of Cherry Hill, NJ, Richard (Deb) Gleckler of Wauseon, OH, Thomas (Jo) Gleckler of Wauseon, OH, Julie Wyse of Swanton, OH, Linda (Tim) Nijakowski of Swanton, OH, Donald (Liz) Gleckler of Devils Lake, MI, Steve Gleckler of Wauseon, OH, Kimberly Cook (Mike Zimmerman) of Swanton, OH and Tina (David) Tardich of Swanton, OH; 34 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and brother, Dale (Shorty) Gleckler of Lyons, OH. Buck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard Gleckler and sisters, Ida Mae Slagle and Leona Gleckler.

     Friends and family may visit Friday, March 21st from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis King officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Swanton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
