PERRY, Joan E. April 21, 2008  SALINE, Mich. - Joan E. Perry, age 78, of Saline departed this life at her home on April 21, 2008, after a long illness. She was born in Lyons, Ohio, on Aug. 3, 1929, the daughter of Lloyd F. and Willa R. (Barnes) Hinkle. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Robert Perry, and her brother, Richard Hinkle. She is survived by her four children, Tony (Shirley) Keezer of Chelsea, Terry (Leo) Payne of Willis, Kitty Hegdahl of Montana and Bonnie (Mitch) Tillman of Lawtey, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Irwin of Luna Pier and Frances (Keith) Bennington of Lima, Ohio; one brother, Lloyd (Gladys) Hinkle of Lyons, Ohio; and long-time companion, Carl H. Nichols. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, 901 N. Main St., Chelsea. Interment will be at Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Mercy Hospice. |
