The Last Will & Testament
            of             Admitted to Probate Dec ?
Samuel D. Wiggins
      I, Samuel D. Wiggins of the
township of Sylvania, County of Lucas and State
of Ohio, being of sound and disposing mind, memory
and understanding, do make, publish and declare
this to be my last will and testament hereby revoke-
ing and making null and void all former last
wills and testaments and writings in the nature
of last wills and testaments, by me heretofore made
My will is:
That my funeral charges and ?
debts shall be paid by my executor here after na
med ? of the personal property now on my
? indebtedness to me. The remainder of my person
al property of every name and nature which shall
not be required for the payment of my last debts,
funeral charges and the expenses attending the ex
ecution of this my last will and the administra
tion of my estate. I give and bequath to my be
loved wife, Ann Wiggins. ? a
sum sufficient to purchase and place at my
grave a set of laurel? flowers of suitable size and
appropriate ? thereon.

Give and bequath one half acre of land on
the west side in line of the East half of the north
West quarter of section number fifteen? in town
number nine? south and of ? ? ? East
lying north and adjoining the public highway

being? eight rods? wide? on said highway, and extend
ing back there from ? rods? for a public burying?
ground and request that my remains may be depos
ited therein.

The remainder of my real estate consisting of
the balance of said east half of the north west quar
ter of section twelve in town ? ? ? ? of ?
six east, I give and bequath to my beloved wife

wife during her natural life, or so long as she may
remain my widow.

My will also? afirmed?, at the death of my
beloved wife, Ann Wiggins, or when she ceases to be
my widow. I give and bequeatth to my son Thomas
Jefferson Wiggins his heirs and assigns with the
following conditions to wit: That he will take
charge of said real estate and carry on the farm
in good husband like manner, for the benefit of
his mother the said Ann Wiggins or furnish her
the comforts and necesisaries? of life, provide her the
ways and means of visiting? her children occasion
ally and to entertain them in a suitable manner
whenever they may visit her so long as she may
live or remain a widow, provide her with proper
medical aid and allowance when sick, pay all
her expenses after ? funeral charges and place
at her grave a set of suitable tomb stones with appro
priate inscriptions thereon ? provides futher that
said Thomas shall have to my son, James Madison
Wiggins one hundred dollars at the expriation of his min
ority and provide him with at least one year
schooling in ? district school ? to that
time.

Then? if my son Thomas shall not fulfill
the conditions or covenants required of him in this
my last will and testament, then and in that case
it is my will that my executor shall sell and dis
pose of my said real estate. At the death of my
wife, aforesaid or when she ceases to be a widow then?
the avail thereof after disposing? the expenses of said
sale, to divide as follows among my children, to wit?
one quarter to be given to my son James Madison
one quarter to my son Andrew Jackson, one quarter
to my son Thomas Jefferson or his heirs and the
other quarter to be equally divided between my son
William Wiggins and my daughters Ann Eliza Haughton
Maria Gardanier, Jane Holmes and Elizabeth Wiggins

Here I do nominate and appoint my beloved
wife, Ann Wiggins executrix and my friend John
U. Pease, executor of this my last will and testament

In testimony whereof I, the said Samuel Wig-
gins have here subscribed my name and affix my
seal this 27th day of June in the year one Thousand
Eight Hundred and Fifty Two.

A.D. 1852, depose and say that we were present at
the execution of the last will and testament of Samuel
D. Wiggins hereunto? ? that we heard the testator
subscribe said will and heard him publish and declare
the same to be his last will and testament and that
the said testator at the time of executing this was
of full age and of sound mind and memory and not
under any duress and that we signed the?
as witnesses at his request and in his presence.
