Generation No. 1
1. Francis1 LeBaron was born 1668 in France, and died August 08, 1704 in Plymouth, Mass. He married Mary Wilder September 06, 1695 in Mass, daughter of Edward Wilder and Elizabeth Eames. She was born April 07, 1668, and died September 25, 1737.
Notes for Francis LeBaron:
The inscription on
the tomb of "Mr. Francis Lebarran, Physician," in Plymouth, Massachusetts,
is still legible. It states that he "departed this life August ye 8th,
1704, in ye 36th year of his age."

Huguenot Emigration to America Volume 2
"Dr.
Le Baron was surgeon on board a French privateer, which was wrecked in
Buzzard's Bay. He came to Plymouth, and having performed an important surgical
operation, the selectmen petitioned the Executive of the Colony for his
liberation as prisoner of war, that he might settle in this town. We believe
that from this ancestor all of the name in the United States are descended."--(Mr.
Russell, in Pilgrim Memorials.) Taken from the: The Huguenot Emigration
to America Volume 2
The birthplace of Francis LeBaron is not known; the first mention of him occurs in the Town Records of Plymouth, at the (*)The following notes on Edward Wilder are from the "Book of the Wilders," and the "History of Hingham." Edward, son of Thomas and Martha Wilder of Shiplake, Oxfordshire, England, b. 1623 (?); d. Oct. 28, 1690; m. April, 1651, Elizabeth, dau. of Anthony Eames [Ames], of Hingham, d. June 9, 1692. He was in Hingham, Massachusetts Bay, in November, 1638, on the arrival of his mother from England, in the ship Confldence, from the port of Southampton. He remained in Hingham, and was made a freeman in 1645. Children [order uncertain]: John, b. 1653, d. April 11, 1724, m. Rebecca (???): Elizabeth, b. 1655, m. The "History of Hingham" says: Widow Martha Wilder, mother of Edward, probably came from Shiplake, Oxfordshire, England. Edward Wilder was a soldier in the war against King Philip. The author of the "History of Hingham" calls Anthony Eames "of Marshfield." See also Barber's "Hist. Colls.," p. 506, "Hingham." time of his marriage with Mary Wilder, of Hingham. His gravestone on the "Ancient Burial Hill" in Plymouth, now in good preservation, marks the date of his death and age, and gives the latter as thirty-six years. Substantially the same tradition in regard to him has been handed down in the various branches of his family, namely, that a French privateer, fitted out at Bordeaux and cruising on the American coast, was wrecked in Buzzard's Bay. The crew were taken prisoners and carried to Boston. In passing through Plymouth, the surgeon, Francis LeBaron, was detained by sickness, and on his recovery performed a surgical operation so successfully that the inhabitants of the town petitioned the executive, Lieutenant Governor Stoughton, for his release, that he might settle among them. The petition was granted, and he practiced his profession in that town and vicinity until his death. In regard to his religious faith there are different opinions: some have claimed that he was a Roman Catholic, while others are just as strenuous in declaring that he was of a Huguenot family. It is possible that both claims are right, as, for a long period preceding 1696, the severest affliction of the Huguenots was due to the abstraction of their children and youth from their homes, to be educated in the Roman Catholic faith. We think best to express no opinion in regard to this matter, but place in the Appendix various statements and notes which have come to our attention, leaving each one interested to draw his own conclusions.

WILL OF LAZARUS LEBARON.
In the name of God amen. I Lazarus LeBaron, of Plymouth in New England, physician, being in health and of a disposing mind and memory, blessed be God for it, think it my duty to dispose of the estate God has given me, and accordingly do dispose of it as follows: -- But first, I give my soul to God, hoping and believing thro merits and right-eousness of Jesus Christ, my dear Redeemer, to find acceptance with him; my body I commit to the dust to be decently buried at the direction of my executors hereafter named, hoping for a glorious resurrection. Notes for William LeBaron:
William
LeBaron, built the first bridge in Pittsburgh on November 20, 1818, Smithfield
Street to span the Monongahela River. south of Pittsburgh where the National
Road crossed that river at Bridgeport, and he definitely built the
old covered bridge” at Wheeling, West Virginia.
Evidence piles up on William LeBaron as the father of Mary LeBaron, from sources of William LeBaron as shown..... From a Reno Biography taken from the "Warner's History of Beaver County" saying that Mary LeBaron was the daughter of William LeBaron who built The Big Beaver bridge which was chartered in 1814, William also built the Fallston and New Brighton bridges.
Another source on William LeBaron taken from "Descendants of Francis LeBaron of Plymouth Massachusetts"saying that William LeBaron, b. Aug. 6, 1789; d. Dec. 4, 1838 (?), in St. Louis, Mo.(*) He was a bridge builder and contractor, at one time residing in Harrisburg, Pa., and built the old covered bridge over the Ohio river, opposite Wheeling, West Virginia. He took up a tract of land in Livingston co., Mo., and died in St. Louis, on his way back to Pennsylvania. We have been unable to obtain any satisfactory record of his family. He had a son Theodore, who at one time lived in Sunfish, West Virginia.
I have been in contact with a Hugh LeBaron, who is researching a Theodore LeBaron. His LeBaron information shows,.... Theodore H. LeBaron was born on December 17, 1814. Theodore’s parents have not been identified, but there was a William and Sarah LeBaron of the correct age and in the correct place who could be the parents.
Theodore had a son name Frank Reno LeBaron, Sr. born September 1850 Allegheny City, Pennsylvania. The name Reno probably comes from a connection with Mary LeBaron, who married Francis Reno. Since there were only a couple LeBaron's that can be traced in this area, and Mary and Theodore, were only a few years apart in age, this makes me believe they were brother and sister. I also found a Sarah LeBaron in the 1850 census, age 22 living in the same household as Francis and Mary (LeBaron) Reno, this is more than likely another sibling for Mary and Theodore.
My final conclusion on this are that the pieces are fitting together perfect in bringing together the descendants of William LeBaron, "THE BRIDGE BUILDER". After all, how many bridge builders could there be named William LeBaron who fits the perfect age, places.
Final thoughts: William LeBaron was my gggg-grandfather, no doubt about it.

Notes for Sarah:
There is a Sarah E. Le
Baron listed in the Federal Population Schedule in 1850, Beaver County,
PA Rochester Borough on page 011. Also listed for 1850,
Beaver County, PA Rochester Borough on page 011 is my Francis Reno,
husband of Mary Le Baron. This is more than likely Mary's mother. William
must of died before 1850.
Child of William LeBaron
and Sarah is:
+ 52 i. Mary L6 LeBaron,
born 1819 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania; died October 02, 1901
in Elwood City, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania.
Generation No. 6
52. Mary L6 LeBaron (William5, William4, James3, James2, Francis1) was born 1819 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, and died October 02, 1901 in Elwood City, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania. She married Francis Reno Abt. 1840 in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, son of Charles Reno and Willann Evans. He was born Abt. 1813 in Beaver Co., Pennsylvania, and died January 25, 1879 in Rochester, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania.
Notes for Mary L LeBaron:
Although i have no documented
proof on William LeBaron being the father of Mary LeBaron, i believe
i have collected enough
evidence to prove that he is:
(1). Mary was born in 1819 in Harrisburg, Pa which was the residence of William at that time.
(2). According to the Warners history of Beaver Co Pa, Mary LeBaron was the daughter of William LeBaron, the bridge builder who built The big beaver bridge which was chartered in 1814.
(3). County and Family Histories: Pennsylvania, 1740-1900 Family Archive CD # 193 shows William LeBaron was also awarded contracts to build bridges, three of them being in Beaver County, which also was the county Mary lived and died in.
(4). William, one of Harrisburg's
first and most enterprising men, purchased, improved and resided there
some years. He built the first steam grist mill and warehouse, &c.,
in the borough. He was unfortunate,
however, in business, and
removed to Pittsburgh where he died)
I think that means he rebuilt the first steam grist mill, and not built !!!!
Evidently the Mill was sold to William and Sarah LeBaron on December 26,
1821 by Henry and Mary Musser. It was not in their possession for long,
because it was sold two or three more times before April 19, 1833 , from
what i can see. So, sometime between December 26, 1821 - April 19, 1833
is when he
removed to Allegheny Co.
This could possibly be the reason why Mary is living in Allegheny County
in 1840.
