The website summarizes five generations of the Gill
family who lived at Iddesleigh, Devon . Beginning
with Abraham Gill and his wife Mary Piper who married at Iddesleigh in 1736 the
site summarizes the next four generations of their descendants.
My direct line - that of Abraham and Mary’s
great grandson, William Gill and his wife Mary Pope’s descendants became
so expansive that it has now been removed from this website and can now be

It provides a summary of William Gill and Mary
Pope’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and is the result of
several of William and Mary’s descendants’ research into the family’s history
including that of Mauri Gill, Gillian Mercer,
Graham J. Gill and Anne Williams of South Australia, David Cullen of
Tasmania and Myrna Willis & Bill Keem of Victoria. Much assistance had also
