and Anne (Hardin) Gostwick of Southill)
John Gostwick is also mentioned in his Aunt Elizabeth
Gostwicks will in 1546 as being the son of her brother Edmund Gostwick.
In 1546 Edmund Gostwick has only one son "John" and a daughter named "Alice".
By 1562 Edmunds children are mentioned only as: Edmunds 2 son's and 2 daughters
in the Will of Edmunds brother Robert Gostwick. According to Elizabeth

William Gostoyke (father of Roger) and is possibly the same as William
(father of Robert). If Not, then this William Gostoyke was born ca. 1558
It is stated in early records that William Gostwick was first married to Catherine Hadley of Barkway, Hertford Co., and married 2nd to Martha Ratcliff (mother of Roger),of Estlow, and that William Gostwick died in Estlow in 1611. According to the will of William Gostwick in 1574 (prisoner at Wood Street Corner and late of Ware in Hertford Co., he leaves his "Cousin William Gostwick of Estlow his exec.) (note William Gostwicks will)
