Martha Ann (Goswick) Roy was the daughter of George and Nancy Elizabeth (Powers) Goswick of Humphreys and Dickson Co.Tn., and sister to James Thomas Goswick who settled in Pope & Yell Co's Arkansas. I was told by my grandfather James P.O. Goswick(son of James T.) that this sister "Martha" was the only sister that James T. Goswick ever visited with.{kgk}

Jasper Newton Roy was the son of John and Martha Ann (Goswick) Roy. Anna Mae (Lasater) Bonds wrote that Sarah Ann (Morrison) Roy died after she gave birth to Dora A. Roy in 1894, as she suffered from Epilepsy and died of a siezure, and that the daughter Dora A. (Roy) Baker also died of the same thing in 1918 in Oklahoma during childbirth.
It is not known if Jasper Newton Roy re-married after his wife Sarah
Ann (Morrison) Roy died in 1894. No research has been done on the
Roy family since 1900 census (by me:kgk)

Dora A. (Roy) Baker was the daughter of Jasper Newton and Sarah Ann
(Morrison) Roy of Boone Co.Ar. From the 1900 census it appears that
Dora A., and her brother John Walter Roy was living with the Uncle James
A. Roy, and the grandparents John and Martha Ann (Goswick) Roy. It
is stated that Dora A. (Roy) Baker, died with a siezure during childbirth,
and there was no information to the child, if it lived or died at the same
