Ira and Mary were married circa 1885-86 in Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri. She was the widow of Daniel Henderson, a Civil War veteran who died in Mexico, Missouri in 1883.16 No known children.

In the family papers of Ira Hall Jr. was a handwritten description (in Ira Hall Jr's handwriting) of John P. Beatty's accidental death in Audrain County, Missouri, 1880, as well as a funeral notice for John P. Beatty. Handwritten notes on the funeral notice identify John P. Beatty as the father of "Helen L. Hall."
  8. Letter from Mandana (Swift) Hall to Helen (Beatty) Hall, 8 August 1867; now owned by Raldon Hall, Covina, CA. Mandana writes, "I was surprised to learn that Ira was married the 1st of January, but still I am glad for he needed a friend at hand as well as those afar off."
