Hello Friends and Family! Welcome to the Family Newsletter. There are some exciting announcements in this edition! This Newsletter is a new project of mine to keep everyone informed of new developments in our search, and new tools we have added to our arsenal. If you don't wish to receive this newsletter, please follow the instructions at the end of this newsletter. If your email program (or you personally) doesn't like HTML formatted mail, please e-mail me and let me know and I will send a text only version. Any questions or comments should be sent to Kim Brown with the word newsletter in the subject line. This will not be a daily newsletter, I will use the mailing list for most things. I promise not to overwhelm you with newsletters! If anyone would like to contribute to the newsletter, please let me know. (I will be glad for any help) Now, on to the good stuff! We are getting our own Surname Resource Center! Thanks to the people at http://www.surnameweb.org/ There will be Links on their site sending people to our resource center! They will have a page set up for the main variations of the name, such as Moncus, Munkres, Munkus, Monkus etc. (suggestions welcome in this area) I will be doing the "grunt" work for the resource center, and any and all help would be appreciated. Another exciting feature is our new Moncus etc. mailing list. This is a unique way for the whole family to communicate, sending letters to every member of the list without you having to know everyone's e-mail address! This can be a great tool if everyone will just use it. Please subscribe to the mailing list today! Below are the links to use to subscribe, either by e-mail or by visiting the URL and joining at onelist! Advice to the wise, go to the list page and subscribe in digest mode. If you are concerned about your e-mail box filling up with mail, get a yahoo email address, and subscribe with it. Then you can have an email address just for your mailing list mail! Another new feature is our Monkee Tree Message/Query Board. I know everyone goes around posting questions on forums and Message/Query Boards, Why not use the one created especially for us! We will be publicizing this Board so that it will have high visibility. I will be linking to this Message Board from all of my web-sites as well as the Moncus/Munkres etc Resource Center.
