Henryís Grandmother, Phoebe LIGON WALTHALL, was half sister to Alexander MARSHALL, who was Henryís Father-in-law and Father of his wife, Elizabeth MARSHALL FEATHERSTONE. It appears that Henry and Elizabeth were half-first cousins, once removed. Henry went from Chesterfield County, Virginia to Smith County, Tennessee. This is probably the ìHenry Featherstone, Sr.î listed in Deed Book D in Smith County, Tennessee: ìTo Charles C. Cogbill 50 acres 1 July 1811.î  Henry FEATHERSTONEíS will was probated July 28, 1828 Smith Co., TN.

His son may have been Charles Henry,  FEATHERSTON [by which wife?] b. 5-3-1786 in VA d. 1865. m. 1-15-1807 Prince Edward Co., VA to Elizabeth Short THORNTON, dau. of Sterling THORNTON and Mary JONES.
