COUPLE TO CELEBRATE 50th

In celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Abbott, Slick, a reception will be held on Sunday.

The party will be at their home in Slick from 1 to 5 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to call.

Mr. and Mrs. Abbott were married at Mills Chapel, Okla., where Mrs. Abbott, the former Edith Morgan, lived before their marriage. They have lived in Slick all of their married life.

Abbott retired from oil field work in 1977 and now devotes much of his time to gardening. He and his wife raise a large garden and in the summer privode fresh produce to all of their children.

Mrs. Abbott is president of the Slick Senior Citizens organization.

The couple has a joint hobby -- they work together on making looped rugs, also quilts.

They are the parents of seven children. The eldest, Donna Campbell is deceased.

Others are Edward Abbott, with Liberty Glass CVompany, Sapulpa, Betty Shattuck, Slick, Rosetta Weaver, southwest of Kellyville, a checker at Sapulpa Humpty Store, Lorenzo Abbott, south of Sapulpa, employed by C-E Natco, Tulsa, Richard Abbott, Bristow, Freddie Abbott, who lives south of Bristow on Jackson Ranch.
