Welcome to my web site! I hope you will benefit from the information I present here.
I started this research in 2002. I had never known much more than my grandfathers name. My grandmother had a little genealogy research already done and was always very interesting. Just by chance I found where my Grandfather was born and happended to find a census with his father and mother on it. Slowly the pieces have fallen together but each piece has been like a puzzle being completed.
When I first started on this little journey, I found myself following information that was not always correct. I would put it in my database as if it was gospel. By being persistant, I found that the James Kirk in Augusta, VA, could not possibly be in my line. Many out there still have this misinformation as part of their family tree.
Hopefully, those who are researching their Kirk lines will be able to use this to finally know who and where you came from. I have documented everything that I could. Feel free to e-mail me and give me any corrections or information.
