  Per Richard Warren Davis February 7, 2002 - 1st - 6th generations:

I have been doing a lot of research in the Ibersheim area the last few years  and the following outline of the Mueller family is my guess as to how the  family should be:

0MJagli MUELLER, born about 1549 Uitikon, Zurich, Switzerland.  His wife's name is unknown, but she was born about 1553 and was of Uitikon, also.

(Early information) Rudolph Mueller has 2 daughters and possibly more. The three daughters I have placed here all had oldest sons named Rudolph (Neukommet, Hackmann & Forrer), so I am guessing that the all or at least one or two of them were daughters of Rudolph Mueller. Rudolph was not a common name among the Mennonites.

Rudolph had at least these five children:
*461F[?] daughter (Rudolph3, Hans2, Jagli1),  born about 1663,
+462MHans Mueller (Rudolph3, Hans2, Jagli1), born c1665.

464MJacob Müller (Rudolph3, Hans2, Jagli1), born c1672. died c1744, Ibersheim, Hesse, Germany. He was an unmarried Mennonite when he went to Friedrichstadt, Holstein, Germany in 1693 to escape the war with a large group of Mennonites from the Ibersheim congregation. He had only one  daughter and his wife with him in 1743.  He was living at Ibersheim in 1743 as a temporary tenant and tailor with his wife and one daughter. He did not own a farm at Ibersheim. In 1740, together with Ulrich Hackmann, he received a favorable certificate of conduct by the Catholic pastor, in spite of their Mennonite confession.

In 1828 a Johann Mueller, elder of the Einseidel group, was able to purchase a 270- acre estate. Before 1848 only royalty and citizens of Lemberg could posses estates of this size so Mueller had to acquire a house in Lemberg and secure full citizenship. In 1830 Mueller became leader of the settlement of the first Mennonite daughter colony, Neudorf, some 9 miles west of the older villages. The Mennonites bought the 540 acre Neudorf estate and divided it into twelve farms. In 1848 there was founding of their second daughter colony, Kiernica, in a manner which was new and from now on was to be characteristic of them.

The Mueller family, three generations of which hade assumed the leadership in eight of the nine daughter settlements is a good illustration of the transmission of leadership abilities even in the realm of business. In four generations this family supplied, over a period of 100 years, from the emi
