Christian Krumeich, is one of the fathers of standstone pottery in Oberbetschdorf, Bas-Rhine, Alsace, France, arriving sometime in the 1740's from Ransbach, in the Westerwald. He is also distantly related to the Krummeich line who first established the industry in Oberbetschdorf more than 20 years earlier. The museum map from 1750 shows where Christian's home was located (look for number 17 on the lower left of the map). Christian's home is still standing.
Records show that he arrived with one of his brothers, possibly Peter, and that they arrived with and partnered with a Wilms. Though I am unsure of the distant relation, there is currently a Christian Krumeich actively running a sandstone pottery in Betschdorf.
