Crabtree Rites Set for Monday.
Services for Edward McKenzie Crabtree, 74, who died Friday at his home in Perry, will be held 10 a.m. Monday in the Strode chapel.
The Rev. Marvin Polson will officiate.
Crabtree was born on March 17, 1881, at Leon, Kansas. He was the son of Mack and Martha Crabtree. He was married to Carrie Ann Ensley on Nov. 16, 1904, at Eldora, Kansas.
The Crabtrees moved to Payne county in 1910 and lived in Stillwater until 1937 when they moved to a farm northwest of Stillwater.
He was a long-time employee of Southwest Ice Co. He retired in 1952 and moved to Perry where they have lived since.
In addition to his widow, four sons and two daughters survive: Cecil Crabtree, Enid; Edward Crabtree, Augusta, Kans.; Paul Crabtree, Ponca City; Lee Crabtree, Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Dorothy Ferguson, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Betty Nemachek, Red Rock. Two daughters, Edna and Maxine, died in infancy.
One sister, Mrs. Albert Williams, Perry, a half-sister, Mrs. Bertha Carter, Texas, and a half- brother, Earl Scott, Oklahoma City, also survive. There are six grandchildren.
