Emma Raynor, Pioneer, Dies
Mrs. Emma Elizabeth Raynor, 78, died Tuesday morning at the Municipal hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ with Eldred Stevens, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Strode Funeral home. Place of burial had not been announced Tuesday morning.
Emma Elizabeth Persing was born at Lawrence, Kas., on June 12, 1869, the daughter of William and Gracie Persing. She was married to James Raynor at Berden, Kas., on March 31, 1886. They came to Oklahoma and lived near Guthrie, later moving near Stillwater and in 1921, they moved to 811 West street. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Charles W. of Enid; one daughter, Mrs. Vera Sherrard of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one brother, Jesse Persing of Portland, Ore.
