Friday Services Set for City Man
Services for James Albert Huls, 80, 130 S. Perkins rd., will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Strode Funeral Home. A pioneer area resident, Huls died Monday in Municipal hospital.
The Rev. T.E. Beller, pastor at the Gospel Lighthouse, will conduct the rites. Interment will be in Laneer cemetery northwest of the city.
Huls was born at Brunswick, Mo., on Nov. 28, 1878, son of Richard and Charlotte Huls. He came to Oklahoma from Kansas and in 1894, settling eight miles northwest of Stillwater. He later moved to Oregon, residing there 38 years, and to Arizona before returning to Stillwater in 1953.
He was married to Sarah Gates here on Aug. 11, 1953, and she is among his survivors. Other survivors include: two brothers, William Huls of Mammoth, Ariz., and J.C. Huls, Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Kinsley, Orville, Calif., Mrs. A.E. Fillmore, 1223 S. Chester, and Mrs. George Clary, Galva, Kan., five stepsons, five stepdaughters and 36 step-grandchildren.
