Madison Rites Set Thursday
Mrs. Mary Ann Madison, 74, died Tuesday at her home, northwest of Stillwater.
L.L. Shafer will conduct funeral services at Strode Funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Burial will be in Laneer cemetery, northwest of Stillwater.
Mrs. Madison was born Dec. 8, 1873, in Fannin county, Texas, the daughter of William and Sarah
Cabe. She was married to John D. Madison March 21, 1906, at Durant, and they have made their
home northwest of Stillwater since that time.
Survivors besides the husband include 14 nieces and nephews, many of whom they cared for
from the time they were babies. They are: Mrs. Walter Helmick of Stockton,
Calif.; Walter F. Madison, route 3, Stillwater; Carl L. Madison, Stockton,
Calif.; Mrs. R.W. Hinson, 1103 McElroy; C.C. Madison of Longview, Wash.; Mrs. Orval
Swisher, route 3, Stillwater; Mrs. Ada Furman, route 2, Stillwater; Haskell Madison, route 3,
Stillwater; Charley Cabe of Manteca, Calif.; Lee Cabe, 818 E. 17; Mrs. Zelma Boyce of
Tulsa; Lela Cabe of Chickasha; Ervy Cabe, route 2, Stillwater.
