Saturday Funeral Services Planned for Willie Lile, 74
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Strode Funeral Home Chapel for Willie
Everett Lile, 74, who died March 19, 1970, in the Oklahoma State War Veterans Home facilities,
Norman, after an illness of two years.
Rev. L.V. Ryan will officiate at the service and interment will be in Lanier Cemetery under
direction of Strode. Flag presentation will be by members of Hanner-Sharp American Legion Post
129.
Lile was born April 12, 1895, in Eden Township of Payne County, son of William H. and Jennie
B. Lile, homesteaders in the Cherokee Strip.
He was a World War I veteran, did his training in California and was a golden anniversary
member of the local post. He had resided at 908 W. 10th, since returning from the service.
He was a member of the Council Valley Advent Christian Church, Rt. 1, Yale.
He was never married.
Surviving are two brothers, Ivo Lile, 523 E. 13th and Norman H. Lile, Clovis, Calif.; and
a sister, Lizzie Lowe, 612 E. Eighth.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
