Brothers United After 67 Years
T.J. Satterfield (left) and his brother, John, are pictured above while visiting in Kingsport. The two brothers were separated from each other when both were infants and were not reunited until 67 years later. Tom was 68 years old when he learned his brother was living. John was about 2 1/2 years old and Tom was about 18 months old when their mother died. This is the story that was told to John by his grandmother who raised him and this story was repeated to John's sons. John's sons are responsible for reuniting the two brothers.
John and Tom are the sons of Daniel Benjamin Satterfield and Matilda Majors.
