Clement Lempriere (Updated March 27,
2002)
Clement appears in the early records about the same time George does. Lempriere is
assumed to be an early spelling of Lamphear (various spellings)
The Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire, page 428
"Lempriere, Clement, buried William Button, a Jerseyman, in Portsm. in 1693.
Richard Anthony, of Jersey, now in Portsm. gave P/A to Clement (Lampier), now of Boston, 8
Jan 1697-8. John (Lamprill) was in the boat when Mr. Button was drowned. List
218a. (note that William Button was married into George's line. Also note
that Jersey refers not Jersey Island NOT New Jersey)"

"Clement Lempriere buried William Button a Jersey man (Jersy Island) in Portsmouth,
1693.
Richard Anthony of Jersey, now in Portsmouth, gave power of attorney to Clement
Lampier, now of Boston, 8 January, 1697-8.
John Lamprill was on the boat when Mr. Button was drowned." "George Lamphear
was born in Wales(?) about 1678, so Clement must have been kin, if not a brother.
One of George's daughters married Peter Button. George settled in Westerly, Rhode
Island." Other notes listed: "George, b: 1678 or so. and Clement in Boston in
1693."

Thomas Lamphiere, died at Mallow in 1770. married to Henrietta (Hardy) Barbe
