so often these family names were somehow connected to the Langilles! ~ Karen)
Mrs John Rhuland accompanied her sister Mrs Norman Zwicker, of this town,
were visitors in Maitland during the week and were guests of their mother, Mrs Charlotte Barry.
Cedric Mader, who has been spending the past month at Mader's Cove,
the guest of Mr and Mrs Orrin Mader, returned to Boston on Friday.
Mrs Angus Wamboldt, who has been very ill for the past month,
is improving and is able to be about her home.
The marriage took place in the Anglican Church on Saturday evening of Evelyn,
daughter of Mrs Peter Lowe of this town,
to Mervin Lantz, son of Mr and Mrs Charlie Lantz, Sr.
Rev. E. L. Tuck performing the ceremony.
Miss Edyth Oickle, of Bridgewater,
was a week-end guest at the home of Mr and Mrs Norman Zwicker, of this place.
A marriage of much interest was solemnized at the home of Mrs Russell Burke, Clearland,
on Saturday, evening last, when Minnie Ernst, sister of the former,
was united in marriage to Banford Oickle, of Pine Grove.
Rev. E. V. Nonamaker, pastor of the Lutheran Church, performed the ceremony
in the presence of relatives and friends.
The bride was becomingly gowned in navy blue with accessories to match.
Mr and Mrs Oickle will reside in Mahone Bay.
J. R. Flinn, of Halifax, was a business visitor here on Friday
collecting the debit of A. C. Roberts, agent for the Met. Life Ins. Co.,
who is still confined to his home in Lunenburg through sickness.
The W. A. of the Trinity United Church met at the home of Mrs Lemuel Zinck on Wednesday evening.
Elam Joudrey of Cornwall, brother of Edward A. Joudrey of this town,
is very ill at his home.
Little Barbara Langille, daughter of Mr and Mrs Morris Langille,
of this town, was removed to the D. M. Hospital on Monday evening,
where she was operated on for appendicitis by Dr. W. N. Refuss.
The Mahone Bay Band, under the leadership of W. H. G. Hirtle,
will present a musical program assisted by out-of-town talent
on Wednesday evening in Knox Hall, April 25th.
Miss Grace Hirtle, of Oakland, spent the week-end with her mother,
Mrs J. Hirtle, returning on Monday to her school in Milton, Queens Co.

Mrs Louise Corkum, Lake Centre, is employed at the home of the Zwicker Brothers.
Everyone is pleased to see Reggie Boehner out again
after being confined to his bed for six months.
Willie Naugler purchased a pair of steers on Thursday from Ernest Conrad, Cherry Hill.
Ami/y? Wile, Wileville, spent Sunday at C. S. Bollivar's.
LUNENBURG, April 19 - An honorable combined record of 22 consecutive years
continous attendence at Central United Sunday School is credited
to the three children of Captain and Mrs Willett Spindler of this town.
Fred, aged 18 years, has ten years to his credit;
Isabel, aged 15, has nine years,
while the baby of the family, Marie, aged 9 years, has already three years of continuous attendence and
bids fair to follow in the footsteps of her older sister and brother in this regard.
Other pupils having enviable regards are Miss Maud Pyke with eight years;
Miss Evelyn Peck and John Meisner, seven years each.
In addition there are three pupils holding six year records each;
one with five years; three with four years each; five with three years each;
eleven with two years each;
and nine with one year each,
a total of 37 pupils who did not miss a single class during 1933,
or about 25 per cent of the average attendence, for the year.
Due recognition of this loyality and faithfullness was given at the session last Sunday.
The superintendent, S. A. Young, and his staff of teachers are
justly proud of the record which they are convinced would be difficult
to duplicate throughout the Dominion of Canada.
